About the Boat

History

The Triple 000’s was manufactured by Tiara Yachts of Michigan in 1995. The previous owner kept her berthed in Florida during the winter and New York during the summer. At the time she was equipped with the state of the art electronics and safety equipment for Coastal Navigation. In March of 2005 she was purchased by her current owner and brought up the East Coast to her new home in Manteo, North Carolina. Since then she has gone thru a complete refit of her electronics and safety equipment.

Since her arrival in North Carolina offshore fishing has been the highlight of her ownership. 2005 turned out to be a great first year, besides all the work refitting the boat, the Triple 000’s has been able to have great catches of Tuna, Dolphin, and Marlin! 2007 is already off to becoming another banner year, the crew has added Winter Rockfish trips and a few more tournaments to the list of accomplishments.

Safety

Safety is the foundation to any trip. Our crew are well trained in safety procedures compliant with the US Coastguard. Combined, our crew brings over 40 years to the boating industry and never once had to deal with a mishap. However, 90% of success is preparation. To accomplish this Triple 000’s is outfitted with the following:

• Life Jackets (type I)
• Distress Signals (flares, flags, lights)
• EPIRBs
• Life Raft

Kids

Children are always welcome, however there may be some trips that require a minimum age. When you are calling to book the charter please ask if there are any age requirements.
